Amberjack Fishing Season Closure

NOAA announced the Greater Amberjack Season will end on September 28th at 12:01 am. The 1,130,000-pound recreational limit will be harvested by September 27th. This closure includes state and federal waters and applies to all vessels having a valid Gulf of Mexico reef fish charter/head boat permit. It has been reported that the Greater Amberjack are considered over fished.
